AIDA Junior Judge E

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for planning and organizing AIDA competitions, including safety planning and risk management. Through practical sessions, you will learn about competition setups, line measurement and coding, safety protocols, and the latest rescue techniques. Students will also act as judges in training scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll attain the status AIDA Junior Judge Level E-Pool, E-Depth or both.

In all AIDA-ranked competitions or record attempts, qualified AIDA International Judges are essential for validating an athlete’s performances according to the AIDA Competition Rules and Regulations. Without Judges, recognized performances cannot occur. AIDA Judges ensure that the rules are upheld and applied fairly to all athletes. They also offer valuable assistance to competition organizers. Also, if you’re a competitive freediver or thinking of becoming one then this course is a great way to understand the rules and regulations in order to avoid mistakes that could lead to penalties and / or disqualification.

Prerequisites:
– Must be 18 years or older
– Completion of the AIDA2 Freediver course, a crossover evaluation from another freediving agency, or participation in a freedive competition as an athlete and/or safety diver

Requirements: Theory and video exams

Duration: 2.5 days (for E-Pool, or E-Depth), 3 days (for E-Pool & Depth)

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for planning and organizing AIDA competitions, addressing safety, and managing potential risks. More importantly, it provides a comprehensive understanding of AIDA competition rules and regulations, including their history and application as an AIDA Judge. Practical sessions cover competition setups, line measurement, coding, safety procedures, and a review of the latest rescue techniques. Through both practical and video training, students learn to perform as judges in training scenarios or actual competitions. Upon successful completion, candidates earn the status of AIDA Judge level E-pool and/or E-depth.

Certified Abilities:
An AIDA Judge level E-Pool and E-Depth can officiate at national competitions and at international events under the guidance of a more experienced judge.
