Freediving Courses
AIDA 1
The AIDA1 course offers an ideal introduction to freediving, with no prior diving experience necessary. This 1-day course, divided between the pool and open water, equips you with everything you need to embark on your freediving journey safely. Immersion Freediving can extend this introductory course over two half-days, allowing you to better absorb the fundamentals of freediving, all at no additional cost.
AIDA 2
The AIDA2 freedive course is tailored for skilled swimmers eager to explore freediving while acquiring a strong theoretical foundation and mastering essential techniques. It is intended for those who are comfortable in open water whether through swimming or snorkeling. This course establishes a solid groundwork in theory, technique, and safety, enabling you to safely partner with another AIDA2 freediver.
AIDA 3
The AIDA3 course is tailored for intermediate freedivers who have some prior experience. Throughout the course, you will explore deep freediving, master the Frenzel equalization technique, and uncover new training methods and safety protocols. By the end, you will be a skilled and knowledgeable freediver, capable of independently planning and engaging in freediving activities with peers of similar experience.
AIDA 4
The AIDA4 course elevates your freediving experience with our comprehensive course designed to boost your confidence, knowledge, and skills. You’ll master advanced equalization techniques, essential safety procedures, and refine your diving abilities. Gain insights into sports nutrition and fitness fundamentals. As a master freediver, you’ll assist in courses with an active AIDA Instructor, gaining valuable experience to progress on your journey toward becoming an instructor.
Safety freediver pool
The AIDA Pool Competition Safety course aims to educate freedivers about the safety protocols and regulations applicable during an AIDA Pool competition. Participants will enhance their knowledge and skills to serve as Safety Freedivers in these events. A qualified individual in AIDA Pool Competition Safety is equipped to ensure safety in STA, DYN, DYNB, and DNF across all AIDA pool competitions.
Safety freediver depth
The AIDA Depth Competition Safety course aims to educate freedivers about the safety protocols and regulations applicable during an AIDA Depth competition. Participants will enhance their knowledge and skills to serve as Safety Freedivers in these events. A qualified individual in AIDA Depth Competition Safety is equipped to ensure safety in CWT, CWTB, FIM, and CNF across all AIDA pool competitions. help organizations leverage technology for improved efficiency and customer engagement, ensuring they stay competitive in the digital age.
Crossover evaluation
Freedivers who have trained another agency can transition to the AIDA Education system. Your instructor will conduct crossover sessions for each student interested in progressing to the next level, ensuring they meet the requirements for the desired AIDA course. The AIDA crossover evaluation assesses the freediver’s skills in both in-water performance and theoretical knowledge, while also providing an opportunity to refresh their abilities before starting the next level course. This evaluation lasts at least one full day and covers all skills required for the previous level.
