AIDA held its 36th Freediving World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The 36th AIDA Pool World Championships was an individual event, drawing remarkable global attention. With 276 athletes from 53 countries and around a 1000 performances, it became the largest freediving world championship in history.
Immersion Freediving was proud to contribute to the success of the event, with Pim Vermeulen, again, serving as President of the Jury. The judging team comprised 22 members (8 judges and 14 judge assistants) making it the biggest team at this world-class event.
It was an intense week for all staff, with long, demanding days. But the results were outstanding, featuring several World Records, Continental Records, and numerous National Records.
