Immersion Freediving, in collaboration with Sangseob Kim (Jayden), proudly hosted its 19th AIDA Junior Judge Course, covering both pool and depth disciplines, in South Korea. Our base for the course was Seoul, home of Walrus Freediving, founded by Sangseob.
An Early Arrival in Seoul
With a busy schedule ahead in the Philippines — including trips to Panglao, Mabini, and Oslob — Pim arrived in Seoul a little “early” for the course. This gave Sangseob the perfect opportunity to show him around a part of greater Seoul that was completely new to him.
Of course, no visit to South Korea would be complete without enjoying its incredible cuisine. As always, the food was outstanding. Although, for our first evening, we made an exception and headed to a Japanese sashimi restaurant!
A Successful Course
The AIDA Junior Judge Course was a great success. We were fortunate to have a group of enthusiastic and dedicated students who approached the course with great energy and professionalism. All participants successfully met the course requirements, demonstrating the knowledge and skills needed to take on their new responsibilities as AIDA Junior Judges.
We wish all our new Junior Judges lots of success, exciting competitions, and plenty of joy as they begin their judging journey. We are confident they will make a valuable contribution to the freediving community.
A big thank you to Sangseob and everyone involved in making the course such a success. We truly enjoyed our time in Seoul and are already looking forward to returning to Seoul and South Korea next year!
